Celebrate Christmas with Song layout

I used my Counterfeit Kit for January again for the Pagemap sketch challenge in the group. I can't believe some of the paper I used was from 2003! That's almost as old as my son! And I never thought I could use paper from three different manufacturers together. Anyway, these aren't the best pictures because they were taken in an auditorium from a distance so they are zoomed way in and a little dark. These pictures are of my kids in the church Christmas play back in 2011.

Supplies used:
Paper: Sweetwater (2003), Imaginisce Candy Cane Lane (2007), Cosmo Cricket Be Good (2007), Simple Stories Smarty Pants (2013)
Chipboard, stickers, brads: Echo Park Home for the Holidays (2014)
ThickersL Good Tidings (2019) and Tinsel
Tab: SEI Holiday Hoopla

Are We There Yet? layout

I love buying paper and embellishments for travel pages, but I have a hard time using them! Actually, I have a hard time scrapping travel photos which is a really big problem! With that being said, I did use two pictures from a trip to NYC in 2015. These were taking from the airplane as we flew into the city. I used Sketches in Thyme Sketch #404 for the inspiration, but I rotated it for my horizontal pictures.

Supplies Used:
Paper: Photo Play Here and There
Twine, enamel dots, and stickers: stash
Gold tags: HOTP

So Perfect layout

For this layout I used the Sketch 'N Scrap #192 sketch along with paper from a paper pad. My mom and I used to share paper pads, so I don't know what paper pad these papers come from, but I can tell you they are at least five years old. The pictures were taken back in 2015. I left the embellishments very simple because I wanted the pictures to be the focal point of this page.

Supplies used:
Pattern paper - stash
Die cut - MME So Sophie (2010)
Letters - Thickers and stash
Pearls - Kaiser craft
Jewel brad - American Craft (2008)

My Girl layout

I joined Lisa and Lori in their Great Stash Bash and made up a kit that included both new and old papers and embellishments. I used for the first time along with a sketch from Scrap Our Stash Challenge Blog  Besides the sketch, the challenge was to use chevron paper and gold. I'm pretty happy with how this layout turned out. Just random pictures of my daughter from 2012.

Supplies Used:
Pattern paper: Crate Paper Oh Darling (2013), My Mind's Eye The Sweetest Thing (2012), Fancy Pants Splendid (2008), Shimelle Head in the Clouds (2018)
Chipboard: Crate Paper Oh Darling (2013)
Rub Ons: Doodlebug Sew Easy (2004)
Enamel dots - Shimelle Head in the Clouds (2018)
Brads and flowers - stash

Dream layout

I was actually able to get into the scraproom this morning and spend a little time on this layout. I used the ScrapRoom sketch for this month, but I deleted the circles. I just really wasn't feeling them. I used butterflies for the Scraptember Facebook group challenge for day 6. I also added flowers to the layout for the Allsorts "Say It With Flowers" challenge. I know the papers are pretty muted compared to the pictures, but there were so many colors in the pictures that I wanted a pretty neutral page except for the pictures. These pictures are from 2013 when my daughter was in theatre camp.

Supplies used:
Paper - Pink Paislee Indigo and Ivy
Flowers and gems - stash
Ink - CTMH Indian Corn Blue

Life's Treasures layout

I'm so glad I was able to finish one more layout before I have to go back to work tomorrow. This layout is again for the Scraptember Stash Bash on Facebook, and it start out as a layout for The ScrapRoom Freaky Fast Formula January challenge, but I just couldn't get that to work. I'll have to try again for that challenge. These pictures are from a photo shoot of my kids back in 2016. A lot of the supplies were from my stash, and I'm not sure what brand they are.

Supplies used:
Fiber: Darice
Trim: Bazzill Edge strips
Word Stickers: K & Co.
Vellum title sticker: Creative Imaginations
Pearls: E. (2009)
Rub-ons: Adorn It
Chipboard, paper, flowers, other embellishments: Stash

Superstar

Layout #3 for today! I'm ending my Christmas break with a scrapbooking bang! This layout is also for two challenges. The first is the color challenge #375 over at Color My Heart Color Dare blog which was blues and neutrals. This was tough for me because I have a hard time that my blues don't completely match, but I think the kraft and white bring it together OK. The other challenge is #4 challenge at Scraptember Facebook group  to stash bash. The prompt for today was pinstripes. Even though the striped paper I used for a photo mat isn't exactly pinstripe, I feel it's close enough. This is a picture of my son playing baseball last spring which was his senior year.

Products used:
Pattern paper: Dear Lizzy - It's All Good (2018) - striped paper
Pattern paper: Color Play - Grand Slam (2018) - baseball players
Felt pennant - Bella Blvd (2018)
Die cuts, frame, and title card - This and That (so old!)
Star ribbon and star brads - stash

Welcome to the World

I can't believe I have two posts in one day! LOL  This layout didn't turn out as great as I wanted, but I'm on a roll and don't want to stop now. This is for two different challenges. On the Allsorts blog, the challenge for the week was to use pastels. I know not all these colors are pastels, but this is as close to pastels as I get, and I did try to highlight the pastels in this Basic Grey collection from 2006! I'm not sure they will let it participate in the challenge for the prize, but it motivated me to scrap this adorable picture and use some old stash. It also fulfills Challenge #1 on the Rediscover Your Stash Facebook group. The challenge was to scrapbook a celebration. This layout celebrates the birth of my great niece back in 2018.

Products used:
Paper, tags, and alphabet: Basic Grey - Oh Baby! Girl (2006)
Ribbon and felt stickers: stash

All Is Merry and Bright Layout

I have to say I'm super excited about this layout for a number of reasons. It might not be the fanciest or most decorated, but I checked so many challenges off the list with this one, that I'm super happy with it.

1. I made a Counterfeit Kit for the first time. It was super fun to do, and I hope I can keep it up monthly, but the spring semester is always super busy. In the kit I put so many different collections which is hard for me to mix and some really old stuff. The most exciting thing is that I used it! Here's a link to the Counterfeit Kit blog showing this month's kit.

2. I'm a member of the Scraptember Facebook group, and for January they are doing a Stash Bash challenge. Day #3 was to scraplift, and this layout fulfilled that challenge. I'll explain more below.

3. A few months ago Janet over at RTS Youtube channel had a 6x6 series where she used sketches from Allison Davis over at Scrapbook Generations. I bought the class and watched all the videos but never completed a page. This layout was my first one from that. I scraplifted Allison Davis's first layout and sketch from that class. Janet is taking a break from Youtube at the moment but check out her channel anyway. She has been a major inspiration for me this past year.

So here is my layout:

And here is the list of the companies and collections (when I could) that I used:
Echo Park - Home for the Holidays (2014) - brads, chipboard stickers, flat stickers
SEI - Holiday Hoopla - sticker tab
Cosmo Cricket - Be Good (2007) paper
K & Co - gold embossed paper and embossed vellum
Paper Studio - paper
HOTP - paper
Studio Calico - Wonderland - alphabet
Thickers - Good Things (2019) - phrase
CTMH - Cranberry - ink
Sweetwater - paper
