Challenge layout #5 Week 3/23/20

One of my favorite online scrapbook stores is My Little Scrapbook Store, and she is having an online crop this weekend. One of the challenges is a sketch challenge by the wonderful Heather's Craftylife who has a great Youtube channel and a new sketch book. Anyway, I'm also using this layout for the paper tearing challenge over at Heart 2 Heart blog. All the supplies I used came from the CTMH Magical collection from 2016, and the pictures are from a school trip to Animal Kingdom in 2017.

Challenge layout #4 Week 3/23/20

I LOVE scrapping Disney photos, but I only want to use one or two photos on every page to make them last longer. LOL Anyway for this one, I used a sketch and challenge from Scrap Our Stash blog. Along with the March sketch, I had to use plaid and wood on the layout. I used more Color Play A Day at the Park paper and Echo Park Magical Adventures ephemera, along with old vinyl Thickers called Rootbeer Float (they did NOT want to stick) and CTMH Hawthorn wood shapes. This picture of Goofy was taken at Castaway Cove on our 2015 Disney cruise.

Challenge layout #3 Week 3/23/20

I made this layout for the challenge over at Challenge YOUself blog to use polka dots and a picture with you in it. I also used a sketch from the Scraptember facebook group online crop. I used Photo Play Belle Fleur paper, cardstock stickers and brads, Echo Park Petticoats and Pinstripes stickers, and Thicker Dreamer phrase stickers. This was me back in 2013.

Challenge Layout #2 Week 3/23/20

For this layout I used the Sketches in Thyme #414 sketch, Color Play - A Day in the Park papers, Echo Park Magical Adventures 2 ephemera, and enamel dots from my stash. I wish I had more character pictures from our Disney cruise. They are so much from to scrap. Pictures from 2015 Disney cruise.

Layout #1 Week 3/23/20

This was the first layout I made this week. I used a sketch from 4x6 Photo Sketch blog. I used some really old Doodlebug paper, Jen Hadfield Puffy stickers, Reminisce stickers, and Mambi stickers. These pictures are from a trip to Kansas City and St. Louis in 2014.

Crazy times and layout share

Like many of you, I'm now working from home. Our state mandated that schools go to distance learning starting next week. So while trying to figure out how to teach six different English class online, I'm really trying to do some things for my own mental health which include baking, reading, and scrapping. This post is just going to show you a couple of things I've down lately, and hopefully, I can start posting more regularly since my schedule has been cleared for me.

First baking: I made a yummy pecan pie and raspberry muffins this week. This is something that I would really like to start talking about on here more. I love to cook, and right now I think meal planning is something we could all use. I make my weekly meal plan on Saturday. My goal is to start sharing my weekly meal plans and some of the better recipes.

Next reading: I finished one book at the end of last week. It was Such a Fun Age by Kiley Reid. This has been on the NY Times bestseller list for several weeks and was picked by Reese Witherspoon for her book club in February I think. One of my 2020 reading goals was to read more contemporary books. My go-to genres are usually historical fiction and mystery/thriller, so I would like to branch out. I liked this book, but I had a hard time relating to the characters. I think I ended up giving it a 3.5 stars on Goodreads.

Finally scrapping: I've finished several pages. I used several sketches for these, but instead of entering them in the challenges, I'm just going to share them in this one post. These are two of the layouts I've finished so far this week. The snowman one used some HOTP items from 2012 and the other one used a ScrapRoom kit from 2019.

I hope this find everyone healthy and safe. Take care.
